Now that the season is over I want to send congratulations to all of our Regional, National, and Breed Winners, to many who had first time accomplishments, and to those who had multiple accomplishments, as well.
Now is the time to celebrate your wins, and celebrate each other. Savor the feeling. For the cats that were shown this year, that feeling will last for a lifetime. It doesn't matter whether others remember, it only matters that YOU REMEMBER.

Today is really a special day.

It has taken more than 20 years from the first CFA show in Europe until today when Europe officially becomes a region, Region 9. We have all worked together for that goal, and I could not be more happy for all of you that have been a part of that process.

Thanks to all the committee members, and past chairs of the ID, for all their hard work. And THANK YOU! This could not have been done without the love and dedication to many people over the years.

Declared candidates for Regional Director for the June 2012 - June 2014 term are

This year clubs in good standing as of February 1, 2012, will vote for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, nine Regional Directors, and an International Division Representative. The deadline for declaring for office was March 15, 2012.

Ballots are scheduled to be mailed to all club secretaries on Monday, March 19th and must be received in the Central Office on or before June 1, 2012. If your club does not receive a ballot in a reasonable period of time, please contact Verna Dobbins for a duplicate ballot. The Central Office will provide an online list of clubs whose ballots have been returned, so you can monitor it to make sure your club's ballot was received in the CO.

The Spotlight Award winner for International Division/Europe in the season of 2010-2011 is Henny Wintershoven.

At the conclusion of every show season, each CFA Region and Division shall select one person residing within their Region or Division to be recognized as their "Cat Fancier of the Year." The recipient of this award shall be someone with a minimum of seven years in the cat fancy who has given outstanding service to CFA in any capacity. Current or former CFA judges and current or former CFA Board Members are not eligible for this award. Each Regional Director and International Division Chair is responsible for seeing that an individual is named for this award and honored in some manner at the regional or divisional awards banquet. The selection itself may be made by the Regional Director or Division Chair, by a committee designated to oversee the selection or by any other means deemed appropriate.

Hello Europe!

I am very happy to welcome you in Tallinn for our annual award banquet.
First I would like to thank Cleopella Cat Fanciers of Estonia for organizing this event and for their wonderful hospitality.

As you know, this year is special in many ways because we are not only celebrating the achievements of our 2011 winners but also the birth of a new region in CFA: Region 9 Europe. It has been a long journey to come to this point, from the first international clubs in the late 80’s through the first Divisional awards, the splitting of the International Division into Europe and Asia/Latin America a couple of years later and now Europe becoming a region.

At the CFA Annual Meeting held in Reston, VA the CFA delegates overwhelming approved the constitutional amendment to move Europe from a division to a region. Congratulations to all of you for the hard work over the years that has made this possible. Starting May 1, 2012 exhibitors in Europe will be competing for regional points. Tonight we gather to celebrate the beautiful cats that have competed during the last show season. This banquet is being held to celebrate their accomplishments and the accomplishments of the breeders and exhibitors.

Cleopella Cat Fanciers of Estonia is hosting the CFA International Division - Europe Awards Banquet 2011 on August 6th, 2011 at Tallinn, Estonia.
Awards Banquet venue is going to be at Hotel Susi (48 Peterburi rd, Tallinn, Estonia) at 19.00.

European Awards Banquet is going to be with conjunction of CCFE’s 3rd international CFA show on August 6-7, 2011.
International Division Open meeting will be held during the show.
